Preserve, promote and protect the memory and contributions of those who fought for the freedom of Americans of African descent, both military and civilians during the period of the U.S. Civil War. Our purpose is to expos our cadets and the community at large of the contribution made by the ordinal 1st USCT Regiment, that was formed in Washington, D.C. in 1863. The program is designed to forester leadership, character building, listening skills, team work and more. Although our cadets are not old enough to participate in a Civil War Reenactment, they will be trained as Living History Presenters that will promote educational awareness in the area schools and community.
The photograph pictured above, are the veterans of the First USCT Regiment at the 1915 G.A.R encampment at Washington, D.C.
